About The Edition
Pikachu (2022) is one of two new large-scale lithographs by Bernhardt which are part of an ongoing body of work depicting cultural trends that have captured her son's imagination. Pikachu and Ditto feature the eponymous characters from the Pokémon universe, rendered in Bernhardt’s exuberant style. As with her painting practice, the artist approaches printmaking instinctively, often embracing incidental by-products of the printing process.
